The event, enlivened with finger food, networking, and hearty laughter, marked another remarkable milestone in KJ&#8217;s history. Prior to this, KJ had only supplied one Catamaran of such magnitude to Hiddenfjord the previous summer. The newly commissioned Catamaran, named Mi\u00f0enni, will be stationed at Kollafj\u00f8r\u00f0ur in the Faroe Islands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The impressive Mi\u00f0enni becomes the 63rd Catamaran in KJ\u2019s lineup, measuring 20 metres long and nine metres wide. Its expansive deck is furnished with two fast-operating, top-quality Palfinger marine cranes\u2014one 90-tonne metre crane at the rear starboard side and a 33-tonne metre crane near the wheelhouse. Additionally, the deck accommodates a 20-tonne winch, three 3-tonne capstans, and a hydraulic locker for coupling disc, enhancing the safety measures for the crew onboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mi\u00f0enni is powered by twin Iveco C13 engines, each boasting 500 horsepower, and is equipped with two bow thrusters. An efficient 119 KVA generator powers all onboard electronic systems. The Catamaran is set to receive DP equipment in the early part of the coming year\u2014an essential feature for navigating the rough winter seas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KJ&#8217;s CEO, Viggo Johannesen, acknowledges the escalating demand for larger Catamarans. He confirms that KJ has supplied two Catamarans of this size to the Faroese aquaculture industry so far. <em>\u201cThere is a growing consensus, both domestically and globally, that this demand will continue to rise\u201d. <\/em>Johannesen assures that KJ is fully prepared to cater to this increasing market requirement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow
