    There are six members of the board at KJ and two of the members are employees representatives. The employees representatives are elected by their colleagues and they are elected for a time period of four years.

    jan otto s. holm

    chairman of the board

    About Jan: Jan Otto is born in 1970 and it a Faroese citizen. He lives in Velbastaður.

    Time served as member of the board: Jan Otto entered the board in August 2010.

    Education: Master of Science (Msc) in finance and accounting.

    Work experience: Jan has worked within the world of finance for the last 35 years. Jan has had his own consultancy firm since 2008.

    bergur kárason johannesen

    About Bergur: He is born in 1992 and is a Faroese citizen. Bergur lives in Strendur on the Faroe Islands, and he is one of the owners of KJ.

    Time served as member of the board: Since november 2017.

    Education: Technician (machinery spec. at KJ from 2010-2014), mechanical engineer (SIMAC 2020-2024) (SIMAC = Svendborg International Maritime Academy).

    Work experience: KJ from 2010-2015 and 2017-2020 and Odense Hydraulik 2021-2023.

    lillian í lambanum

    About Lillian: She is born in 1951 and is a Faroese citizen. Lillian resides on Kambsdalur in the Faroe Islands, and she is one of the owners of KJ.

    Time served as member of the board: Lillian has been a member of the board since 12th of July 1988. This is the year that the company P/F Kári Johannesen was established.

    Work experience: Administrative office

    Sólvá Káradóttir eliasen

    About Sólvá:  She is born in 1974 and is a Faroese citizen. Sólvá lives in Leirvík on the Faroe islands, and she is one of the owners of KJ.

    Time served as member of the board: She has been a member of the board since 1992.

    Education: Sólvá has a Ph.D. i biological oceanography from the University of Faroe Islands (Setrið), Diploma for graduates in mathematics from University of London Online Programmes and also cand.scient. in geophysics from the University of Copenhagen.

    Agnar lassaberg

    member of the board

    About Agnar: He is born in 1975 and isa Faroese citizen. Agnar lives in Fuglafjørður on the Faroe Islands.

    Time served as member of the board: He has been on the board since 2023.

    Education: Agnar has an education as a mechanic, and graduated from a trainnee program at KJ.

    Work experience: Agnar has worked in the industry for 24 years, with hands on experience on a vast array of projects within the mechanic industry.
