Sponsorship policy

KJ surely wants to provide financial support for campaigns or projects that are in accordance with the company’s foundational values. Moreover emphasizes on sponsoring campaigns or projects that create well-being and unity amongst children, young people, grown ups and elderly people in Faroese society. Sponsorships and support is primarily given to areas in the country, where KJ has some sort of activities.

It is of great importance to KJ to be able to support campaigns, that are in clear accordance with the company’s core values. Additionally KJ wants the sponsorship to be a growing factor in well-being, socialization, environmental consciousness and health promotion.

The sponsorship policy is made to ensure that KJ only sponsors and supports campaigns that are in accordance with the company’s core values.

KJ sponsors:

• Campaigns and projects in sports and health promotion
• Campaigns and projects that promote children’s and young people’s well-being
• Campaigns and projects that promote the elderly’s and handicapped people’s well-being
• Campaigns and projects with volunteers and charity beneficial purposes

KJ does not sponsor:

• Political purposes
• Travelling expenses for schools
• Gambling, such as lottery tickets etc.
• International projects with no Faroese attachment
• Book releases or production of music*

*Even though sponsorships are not given to book releases nor musical production, the company can, in some cases, accept to purchase some copies of the production.

Who can apply for sponsorships?

It is only people who hold Faroese citizenship that can apply for sponsorships from KJ. Citizens can represent schools, clubs, sports associations, charities and other associations that benefit Faroese society.

Treatment of applications

If anyone wants to apply for sponsorships, the application needs to be formally sent to KJ in written copy. Verbal applications are not considered. Applications that meet the demands are considered internally within KJ. All applications are considered in confidentiality.

A great quantity of sponsorship applications are being sent to KJ. A specific amount is prioritized for sponsorships and gifts annually, and thus KJ cannot grant all applications sponsorship. All applications will get a written response.

We treat applications ultimo every moth, with July, August and December being exceptions. If the application is for a larger sum of financial aid or a regular sponsorship, these are treated four times a year – 15th of February, 15th of May, 15th of August and 15th of November.

All applications shall be submitted in great time’s notice. Applications that are sent with two weeks of due need, are not treated.
