KJ employs six new apprentices
On August 12th, six apprentices will embark on their career journey at KJ. Áki Sørensen, Workshop Manager, states, “KJ places great importance on employing apprentices due to the high demand for skilled mechanics. The apprenticeship period is 4 years.”
KJ decided a few years ago to lower the age limit for apprentices from 18 years to 16 years. This change opened up opportunities for younger individuals to apply for apprenticeships and start their careers early at KJ, contributing to a more diverse and sustainable workforce.
In the picture, you can see the six apprentices along with Workshop Manager Áki Sørensen. They are Eyðun Róðinsson, Eirikur í Eyðannstovu Petersen, Ólavur í Skorini, Jónas Justinussen, Teitur Petursson við Gjónna, and Bjarki Rygshamar. KJ welcomes our new apprentices to the team!
