
KJ delivers new catamaran to Cooke Aquaculture
KJ has delivered the new catamaran Cooke Challenger to Cooke Aquaculture. Measuring 18 metres in length and 9 metres in width, the vessel has been built and equipped for a wide range of demanding operations within the aquaculture industry.
Cooke Challenger is powered by two FPT C16 main engines, each delivering 750 hp, and is equipped with two 115 kVA generators. Bow and stern thrusters provide excellent manoeuvrability and enable precise operations in demanding conditions.
A powerful and versatile work catamaran
The working deck is equipped with two Palfinger cranes, a PK65002 and a PK33002. The vessel also features three deck bins – two with a capacity of 6 tonnes each and one with a capacity of 3 tonnes.
Cooke Challenger is also equipped with a 20-tonne winch and a coupling plate holder. Combined with the spacious working deck, this equipment provides excellent flexibility for carrying out a wide range of operations at Cooke Aquaculture’s farming sites.
The vessel is fitted with all necessary navigational and nautical equipment and includes accommodation with two berths.
