KJ Secures Yet Another Contract in Iceland
There are big plans for salmon farming on land in the area around Torleikshøfn, Iceland. Several salmon farming companies aim to build large smolt facilities here, and KJ has been in dialogue with First Water for some time regarding a pumping system for boreholes, essential for bringing freshwater to the surface. The work includes both piping and pumping systems.
The contract was secured and finalized at the Fishing and Aquaculture Exhibition in Kópavágur, which concluded after a successful three-day showcase. In the accompanying photograph, you can see Gudmundur Thordarson, Construction Manager at First Water, and Jóannes Mørkøre, Sales Representative at KJ.
KJ has been expanding its activities and projects in Iceland over recent years, currently managing four active projects dedicated to land-based salmon farming. These endeavors are proceeding through multiple construction phases. Mr. Viggo Johannesen, CEO of KJ, expressed his enthusiasm: “The ongoing interest in our services and products in Iceland is gratifying. We are ready to continue the journey of providing our expertise to the Icelandic Salmon Farming Industry.”
