NEW CRANE INSTALLED ONBOARD FAROESE FERRY ‘RITAN’

Delivering goods to the remote islands of Svínoy and Fugloy in the Faroe Islands can often be challenging due to unfavorable weather conditions. It is therefore critical to have a quality crane on board the transport vessel to improve safety and efficiency.

KJ has catered to this requirement by fitting Ritan, a passenger ship that operates daily between Hvannasund, Svínoy, and Fugloy, with a brand new Palfinger PKM250-10 marine crane. This crane, equipped with a winch, is capable of elevating a 2-ton load to its maximum reach of 10 meters.
