Visit of the Faroese Head of Representation in Iceland to KJ’s Headquarters

Approximately a week after the notable IceFish Fisheries and Aquaculture Exhibition in Kópavágur, Iceland, KJ had the honor of welcoming Dr. Hanna í Horni, the Faroese Head of Representation in Iceland, to its headquarters in Kambsdalur, Faroe Islands.

The exhibition, where KJ prominently featured a stand, was an excellent opportunity for engaging discussions with customers and suppliers. During this event, KJ successfully negotiated a significant agreement with First Water to supply a pumping system for boreholes at the new land-based farming site near Torleikshøfn.

Dr. Hanna’s visit on Tuesday morning was centered around gaining deeper insights into KJ’s expanding activities and projects in Iceland. Discussions also covered potential challenges and barriers that Faroese companies may face in the Icelandic market. Such dialogues emphasize the importance of continuous and proactive communication with the governance of the Faroe Islands, ensuring optimal conditions for Faroese enterprises operating in Iceland.

KJ is currently managing several projects in Iceland, underscoring the significance of Dr. Hanna’s interest in facilitating better conditions for Faroese companies. This effort aims to not only fortify business operations but also enhance bilateral relations between the Faroe Islands and Iceland. KJ is gearing up to participate in an upcoming aquaculture conference in Harpa, Reykjavik, in collaboration with other Faroese companies, further exemplifying their commitment to industry advancement and international cooperation.
